Description
When you apply a traditional hardwax oil like Osmo polyx oil or Blanchon’s hard wax oil, your floor will take on the deep, warm and lustrous honey colour, beloved by many.
However, a great number of you have been looking for a product providing similar protection to hard wax oil but which leaves your floor looking as it did when first laid, in its unfinished state.
This has been especially true for our oak ledged doors.
Blanchon Wood Floor Oil Environment is odourless, non-yellowing and is touch dry in just 20 minutes, giving a natural matt finish… and you can wash out your brush or roller in plain water!
The Blanchon Wood Floor Environment is currently available in the following matt finishes; Ultra Matt, Natural, Rough Timber and Bare Timber. These can be seen in more detail by clicking here.
A 1 litre tin will cover approximately 15 square metres with one coat (or 5 square metres with the recommended 3 coats)
A 5 litre tin will cover approximately 75 square metres with one coat (or 25 square metres with the recommended 3 coats)
Ensure the wood to be coated is bare, clean, dry and free of dust, detergents, traces of waxes, varnishes, oils, etc.
Apply 3 coats of Blanchon Wood Floor Oil Environment using a short haired roller or brush allowing 1 hour between coats.
For the best results, lightly sand after applying the 2nd coat (making sure to remove all dust).
For routine cleaning, a vacuum cleaner followed by a well-wrung damp mop will keep your floor looking tip top.
Every 9 months or so, use Blanchon Wood Floor Oil Environment Special Maintenance applied with a microfibre mop or clean cotton cloth.
